"It was just for a day. I helped with putting up the tent for the Monstrositätenkabinett The circus world - especially the stalls - I had always been enthusiastic, and I was fascinated ar of the extraordinary bodies that nature, especially in the most mysterious and untamed most parts the earth produces: rubber man from Borneo, Congo residents, half man, half-crocodile, pointed heads of Siam - or Sealo, the seal boy from the Arctic to the posters they seemed exotic, sexy and scary, and that day I looked for the first time behind the scenes. . There, there was no magic, everything was very profane - after setting up the tent I could wander through the camp before the audience came and meet the strange figures who earned their money as freaks. Although they did not look normal, but to my disappointment, they behaved quite boring, played cards, washing their clothes, smoked, cursed the weather - just like normal people with whom I had to do every day. They were not at all like the fascinating, bizarre, magical monsters on the posters. I was confused - I desperately longed for the exotic, but was also relieved that humanity and normality but probably rule the world. Since then, I'm torn between the desire on the flying carpet of the extraordinary rise and to demystify it and at the same time back in the mundane world. "
